The dynamic brand is powered by design duo Lauren du Plessis and Bailey Alison, both LISOF graduates. The focus for their A/W 2012 collection was on the Garment Construction keeping colours to Black, White and Charcoal.

To the Design Duo, the name Avant  means: Present and Past in one word. ‘What was before is now’ — This is something that they take into consideration every day, taking a basic element and adding their edge to it by constantly pushing boundaries around a core concept.

It was a great show filled with very wearable pieces that could be donned either to work or a Glamourous Night Out on the town (which would of course include champagne). Well Done to our Young Homegrown Designers!
