ELLE Editor's Breakfast

Wow! ... So where do I begin: I was one of 15 Lucky Ladies chosen to attend the ELLE Editor's Breakfast this morning at Quarters Hotel in Durban. "Editor" was the key word for me and this meant that non-other than the extremely inspirational Jackie Burger would be attending...

I arrived a bit earlier than the allocated time (this wasn't an event to incorporate my "Fashionably Late" tactic) and I was met by some of the other ladies including Jacelize du Preez (Elle's Marketing Manager) and Cheska Liackman (Elle's Bureau Chief and Features writer) as well as Bev Schoeman from Trollbeads South Africa.  We were offered some refreshments while we anticipated for the clock to strike 8:00.

Jackie Burger arrived shortly looking Très Chic in a Black mid-calf Dress and a very Quirky Necklace made of Cable Ties, which she purchased at the Design Indaba. I must add at this point that Jackie is a very humble person despite all of her achievements.

We all sat around the table and briefly introduced ourselves, after which we ordered our breakfast (a delicious Muesli with Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit followed by a Croissant with Scrambled Eggs and our choice of Bacon or Salmon). 

While we waited for our food to arrive and in between 'Munching' on the Delicious Breakfast, we discussed issues that inspire and propel us to be Powerful Women in the 21st century. We were also offered the opportunity to give our input on what we would like to see more of in the Elle Magazine.

And if spending a morning with Amazingly Confident and Inspirational Women wasn't enough we were all spoilt with a Generous Goodie Bag including a Carolina Herrera Fragrance and our Very own Trollbead compliments of Bev Schoeman! ♥

I would really like to take this opportunity to Thank Elle Magazine and Congratulate them on doing these Editor's Breakfast's to get to know their readers better and see what they want in the magazine.

All-in-all it was a Fabulous Event and I got to meet some Wonderful Individuals with whom I will most definitely keep in touch! This is without question my Highlight Event for the month of March :)
