Mugler’s Japanese Resort

I Love the Thierry Mugler Brand, and I am really enjoying how creative director Nicola Formechetti and designer Sébastien Peigné look to build a new image for the Mugler brand...

The Mugler resort 2013 collection provides a fabulous glimpse of the possibilities the future brings, offering a cohesive outing of streetwear looks with a strong Japanese influence.

Structured silhouettes in a color palette of white, red, grey, black and powder pink set the tone for the new season with a futuristic direction.

Tailored, Clean and Cutting-edge Concepts ultimately dominate and challenge our notions of how edginess should be represented. Despite the Statement Value that inevitably became a trademark of the Label, wearability is a hugely important aspect for each and every look.

Pants and skirts are high-waisted while tops feature strong, almost boxy shoulders.

I really think that the Resort 2013 Collection marks one of Formechetti and Peigné’s most solid collections yet and I'm very Q-rious to see what they will offer in the future.
