My favourite parts of the Evening were: the reenactment of the Theme song from 'Game of Thrones' performed by the South African Military Health Service Band, and the Talentholdet Gym Team from Denmark who performed an Out-of-this-world Skipping Routine!!
The SA Tattoo's never-seen-before combination of local and international acts included the ever-popular traditional 180-piece massed pipes and drums and colourful contingent of Highland and Irish dancers, accompanied by Haggis & Bong as well as the Talentholdet Gym Team from Denmark; brass bands from the SA Air Force and SA Military Health Service; the Anavarata Dance Institute’s traditional Indian dancers; the harmonious "Affies" School Choir; a "HOGS" (Harley Owners Group) Harley-Davidson display bike riding team and a demonstration of absolute military precision by the SA Army Pace-Stick team.

The soloists for this year's finale were the highly talented singer and actress, Siyasanga Papu, and popular local recording artist and theatre, television and movie actor, Vaughan Gardiner whose combined vocal prowess closes the 2012 event.
