Last night while browsing through YouTube, I came across Alma, a 2009 Spanish Short Animation. This beautifully rendered film by ex-Pixar animator, Rodrigo Blaas, is a cautionary Tale about inquisitive children and eerie-looking dolls.

The 5 flawless minutes worth of film has no spoken dialogue, just lighthearted music playing throughout the background — the atmosphere is perfect. I Loved the character designs and the wonderfully dark twist. The word "alma" in Spanish means "soul".
It was received notable recognition at the Fantastic Fest Awards as well as the below Awards:
