Blood Thirsty Scents? ...

Photographer Antonio Zuddas and Designer Giovanni Castelli have created a New Fragrance Concept based on blood types. Castelli says that it was a fascination with the substance he calls “the river of life” (and not a vampire obsession as most would assume).

Zuddas and Castelli found that the four most common blood types provide a map of human evolution: Since "O" was the first to develop, its corresponding scent is the most animalistic and visceral; "AB", the latest, is represented as synthetic and chemical; in between are A (a green spritz) and B (woodsy and spicy). All four have one note in common: a hint of the metallic taste of (true) blood.

O – Carnal and Primitive.
From the depths of the Earth.

Middle Notes: Cyperus, Esculentus, Rose hips
Base Notes: Leather, Birch, Cedar Wood, Metallic Notes

A – Green and Aromatic.
Reflects a symbiotic relationship with nature.
