We all know Monday is the toughest day of the week... It's usually the day that your alarm doesn't ring and you stub your toe getting out of bed. You will probably spill coffee on your top, just as you're about to leave for work and it will be the day that your gate decides to jam. On top of all of that, it will most definitely be the day that traffic is at a complete and utter standstill — because (you guessed it) the rest of the population is experiencing the same Day as you are...Monday!
Well after all of the above, I finally arrived at work and nine quick hours later it was 5 o'clock and time to go home... Now we may dislike Monday, but there are some Perks to it:
5 Perks to Monday:
Monday Perk #1:
It's a Fresh start to a New Week ... So you have a whole 5 (working) days to achieve all those things before the end of the week
Monday Perk #2:
You get to see all of your Work Mates (AKA your Work-Week-Family) and catch up on how their weekend was and tell them all about yours.
It's Meat-free Monday's — I'm not a vegetarian (Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy a good Fillet Steak) but this way you get to dedicate one day purely to Veggies :) Scientists Say that going meatless once a week may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. It can also help reduce your carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel. So give Animals the Day off :)
Monday Perk #4:
You can wear your new clothes, shoes, make-up, etc that you bought on the weekend. I got a new Lipstick from M•A•C on Saturday, the colour is called 'Myth' and it was my favourite Perk for Monday.Monday Perk #5:
Besides, Once Monday is over ... it's that much closer to Friday and the Weekend :)
