One of the most talked about shows at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Jo'burg had to be that of David Tlale, and I had the privilege of being in the Front Row ...
Coming to David's show, one expects some Drama, and what better way to start the show than the designer himself walking up the runway, towards stairs, and blowing a trumpet to signal the Beginning of a Great Spectacle.

Models began lining up on the stairs, and one-by-one made their way down the runway.

This is David's RTW (Ready-To-Wear) Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection; Both Daring and Dramatic, the brand defies convention and impenitently employs unpredictable use and understanding of Fabric, Colour and Texture.

The Range had a very Earthy Colour Pallet using Muted Green, Brown, Yellow, Orange, Grey, Red, Black and Navy.
Fabrics used were very luxurious: Chiffon, Wool suiting, Fur and Silk. Houndstooth and Geometric Shapes was the preferred pattern on the Runway.

The Range concentrated on Working Men and Women and consisted of suits for men, pencil skirts, tailored jackets and shift dresses for women, while layering was strong feature of the show.

Despite the Collection concentrating on Business-Wear, a few Evening Dresses finished the show off, making a statement of "Working Hard — Playing Hard".

The Dress below was the Show-Stopper of the collection and was strikingly contrasting to the rest of the Range.

The Spectacle was relevantly on time and after such Beautiful Attire, I don't think anybody minded the wait ... Despite the Collection being RTW, it lives up to the brand's Audacious and Fashion Conscious Customer.
