Legit has followed in the footsteps of Swedish Retailer H&M (who have previously teamed up with Donatella Versace and Karl Lagerfeld) and will be collaborating with South African Designer, David Tlale, on an Affordable Collection.
The Colour Pallet for the Range is Black and Gold, accented with a pop of Colour (Cobalt and Magenta were Mentioned) and mixed alongside Leopard Print, Imitation Leather and Faux Fur.
David said at the Launch that the range will not be "Cheap" but "Affordable" and consumers' should not confuse the two ... The Pieces in the Collection will retail from R200, and for R1'000 you can walk out of Legit with a Complete Outfit by VDT (including Shoes and a Bag) — Now that's Good Value for Money! This will now allow the average Fashion Fundi to acquire a David Tlale garment without breaking the bank.
David Tlale, with 3 Outfits from his VDT Range for Legit I Love that Cobalt Dress! ♥ |
The VDT Collection will be launched on 23 April 2012 with a second capsule input on the 4th of May. There will be no more than 2'000 units per design distributed across 180 Legit Stores (including Namibia and Botswana).
So best you get there early to avoid disappointment!
I already have my eye on a cute Leopard Print Skirt, a Cobalt Dress (pictured above) and a Beautiful Pale Gold Dress. I can't wait to introduce a bit of 'Tantalising' Tlale Magic into my Wardrobe ...
Q-rious to see if it will be as crazy as when Versace did the range for H&M ... ?
